Bashir Ismayil oglu Imanov was born in 1914 in the village of Horadiz in Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli district. In 1929, he began his education at the Pedagogical School located in the district. He completed the Pedagogical School with high honors in 1931 and started working as a teacher at the Horadiz middle school. From this period on, his determination to further his education and professionalism was evident.
Professional Career and High Positions:
Bashir Imanov’s professional skills and expertise quickly caught attention and created new opportunities for him. After completing his railway education, he stood out among his colleagues for his courage and education, and he was appointed as the deputy head of the railway section of Alyat-Julfa. During this time, his professional career continued to develop, and in 1948, he began working in the police force. In 1960, he was appointed as the head of the Lavrentiy Beria Militsiya of the Azerbaijan State Railways Administration. Until November 8, 1969, he served in various positions (investigator, operational agent, chief operational agent, inspector, chief inspector, division head, department head, deputy head of administration, head of administration) in internal affairs agencies.
Contributions to Education:
Bashir Imanov is also recognized as the author of textbooks taught in military and special training schools. He devoted his efforts and dedication to preparing young people for military service. In a letter with reference number 3/237701880628 from the Archives Center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is noted that a few days before his passing, there were plans to award Bashir Imanov a high military rank in Moscow, but due to heart complications, he couldn’t travel to Moscow and receive the rank. Respected by everyone for his exceptional service in the police agencies, Bashir Imanov passed away in 1969 due to heart complications.
